Mr. Wang is nearly 50, has no steady job, a single dad with one son, lives in a rented old house. Due to road expansion, his house was half demolished and reduced to only the bathroom and kitchen which he converted to a bedroom. The house condition was quite basic and rundown. Mr. Wang has no transportation of his own. But many long-term steady jobs that he applied to through the job center were far out and required a scooter ride. Yet he could not afford to buy a scooter. The Foundation’s contact assessed and sensed Wang’s determination to work, so decided to fund his scooter. After getting a new scooter, Wang found a job on a construction site after the new year. He sent in pictures to share his joy with the Foundation.
