Ms. Au’s husband had two strokes. After many sessions of treatment, he went into the persistent vegetative state. Ms. Au stuck with him, fed him and took care of all his medical needs, and therefore could not go out to work, leaving her finances in deep trouble. The Foundation offered her several rounds of financial aid. Recently, she placed her husband in a care home and went back to her job promoting artworks to maintain a basic income and get back on her feet.
