Ying, single with serious physical disabilities, lives with her dad in their own one-story house. Her mother passed away several years ago. Ying has learning difficulties from an early age. She was previously able to take care of her own needs but in recent years, she had become frail and weak with an increasingly distorted body. She used to use a donated wheelchair with certain areas padded with cushions, e.g., the head, neck, back, bottoms, thighs and feet. Her wheelchair was hazardous and cumbersome to use. She needed a customized right-sized wheelchair to ensure it’s safe when her dad picks her up from the wheelchair. On learning of her situation, the Foundation funded a bespoke wheelchair that fits her body.
