Ling was as loud touting the customers as she was quick on her hands, turning the sausages and sticky rice buns. The sausage stand was ready for another day of business!
Nearly 60, abandoned by her parents when she was a kid, Ling was now single and childless. Having weathered the many storms of life, she was now quite detached from it all. Resilient and self-reliant, she knew she had only herself and her food stand to depend on! The sausage stand was her everything! Customers came in small numbers, and sometimes the rain would dampen the business plus the charcoals, but she got by!
