Jun-Jun’s father could not work due to illness and her mother was the sole breadwinner for the family and the caregiver for the grandmother. They barely had enough left to pay for her university fees and expenses. So Jun-Jun had to rely on a student loan and a part-time job as a teaching assistant to pay for some of her expenses. The Foundation offered Jun-Jun a four-year financial aid to complete her graduate school studies. Jun-Jun then studied day and night and eventually passed the bar exam to become a judge and turn her life around.
