On the 7th, the Chang Yung-Fa Charity Foundation partnered with Evergreen Plaza Hotel to host a New Year’s charity feast in Tainan, inviting 340 individuals from disadvantaged families and 18 social welfare organizations to join in the festive celebration. The event was attended by Tainan City Mayor Huang Wei-Che, Deputy Director of Tainan’s Social Affairs Bureau Ye Zhi-Ming, Chairman of Chang Yung-Fa Charity Foundation Daniel Wu, General Manager of Evergreen Plaza Hotel Chen Yen-Ming, and Vice General Manager Wei Yu-Feng.

The Chang Yung-Fa Charity Foundation, in collaboration with Evergreen Plaza Hotel and Taiwan Sugar Corporation, organized a "Winter Joyous Gathering, Warm Memories of Love and Sustainability - Charity Caring Banquet" on January 23rd at Evergreen Plaza Hotel. Over 300 people from low-income households and various charitable organizations in Tainan attended the event, which aimed to provide care through tangible actions.

The Chang Yung-Fa Charity Foundation, in collaboration with the Taiwan Institute for Sustainable Energy and the RCSA-Consultant, jointly hosted the "How Social Responsibility Impacts the Sustainable Operation and Development of Small and Medium-sized Enterprises" international forum on April 25, 2023. Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and social welfare organizations were invited to participate, and over 200 enthusiastic attendees joined to collectively address issues related to social responsibility.

The recent frequent cold spells and the pandemic have put a strain on the operation of many social welfare groups. As we are coming up to the 30th anniversary of Evergreen Laurel Hotel (Taichung), Chang Yung-Fa Charity Foundation along with the Hotel invited about 300 residents of the five social welfare groups under the Slow flying Angels Family to the “From Evergreen with love: charity gala” today (the 7th). The invited groups were St. Colette Catholic Taichung Center for Special Needs, Veterans’ Service Department of Changhua, Love for All Association, Nantou Qinai Elementary School and Digital Humanitarian Association. We supported charity with action. Owen Ceramics, Maestro Li Chi-Mao and SummitGo Industry Co., Ltd. joined in on the fun and donated blessed rice packets and woolly hats too.

In 2015, Li Chi-Mao, our national treasure and ink wash painter, and Feng Weng-Jun, founder of Owen Ceramics, feeling sorry for those disadvantaged families in Taiwan enduring tough life challenges, decided to contribute what they could to improve the wellbeing of those in adversities and in so doing, hoped to awaken more people to join in too. And that’s how they started the charity collaboration with Chang Yung-Fa Charity Foundation.

Taiwan has recently been hit by the cold front, one after another, resulting in a sudden drop in temperatures. The Foundation matched up with SummitGo Industry Co., Ltd., to donate 500 plus pieces of brand-new woolly hats and scarves to five elementary schools in Wanli District, New Taipei City, on January 6.
