Little Happiness Social Welfare Foundation Merry Christmas Party

Dec 15.2021 | Charity Care Activities

Many people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDDs) will grow up to face difficulties in adapting to society if not given continuous help by a professional institution. The Little Happiness Social Welfare Foundation (LHSWF) houses 20 people with IDDs from New Taipei City and Keelung and trains them to take care of themselves, to adapt to society and for the job market hoping that they can earn a living to live a normal life through making and selling cakes, biscuits.

As a gesture to thank and support the load of the staff at the LHSWF, the Chang Yung-Fa Charity Foundation, besides sponsoring its management expenses, organized a Christmas party on December 15 staging a magic show, balloon stamping, Karaoke and a sumptuous lunch. Also present at the party was the Foundation chairman, Wu Ming-Jing, who joined in on the fun and donated electronic appliances and catering equipment to the LHSWF to express support and encouragement.

The party was hosted at the LHSWF’s new building whose exterior structure was more or less completed and the interior construction work was well under way yet with many facilities absent. The budget for the facilities originally depended on the sales of the cookies made by LHSWF residents, but the pandemic had caused many customers celebrating a wedding, a childbirth, or other events to cancel their cookie orders, hence the sales decline and pending construction. For those wishing to help with the construction progress, please google #Bear house and buy up the cakes, cookies and pineapple cakes that have been voted as highly popular online.
