Disadvantaged families are less capable of giving their children decent educational resources which can lead to low academic performance, attitude problems and later on, social issues. To overturn the fate of these disadvantaged marginalized children from low-income families, single-parent families, and children in the care of their grandparents, Love Xizhi Charity Association (Love Xizhi Charity Association) provides after-school lessons and everyday care to prevent them from falling into the cycle of poverty due to lack of resources. The Foundation went to check on their progress on January 18.

Love Xizhi Charity Association currently has 10 plus schoolchildren in the after-school class, referred from nearby elementary schools. Love Xizhi Charity Association offers them a meal, a place in which to do their homework and study and a chance to form a positive attitude and character. Love Xizhi Charity Association also runs a food bank, gives away free meals, organizes shared housing for solitary elders and comes to the rescue of many families in emergency adversities.

The Foundation funded Love Xizhi Charity Association’s after-school classes and operation expenses as well as bringing them brand-new woolly hats and blessed rice packets as an encouragement for kids to study hard. Love Xizhi Charity Association secretary-general Liu Wei-Lin expressed gratitude for the Foundation’s long-term sponsorship which made the Love Xizhi Charity Association staff and beneficiaries feel loved and supported.
