To enhance the operational efficiency of social welfare organizations and improve the quality of services for children and adolescents, our organization facilitated a visit by the sponsored frontline children's welfare unit, Holy Word Foundation Children’s Home, to The Catholic Diocese of Chiayi attached An Ren Home for an in-depth business exchange and sharing session on September 5th. Both units are child placement institutions with different business directions and strategies, but they share a common belief: providing children with a better future.

Early in the morning, our team accompanied the executive team of The Holy Word Foundation Children’s Home, led by Executive Director Xu Huaqiang, to the south, where Anren Home, led by Director Xie Mengjie, personally welcomed them. The two sides first briefed each other on their businesses, followed by in-depth discussions on topics such as how to counsel character development and cultivate children's confidence, how to unite the team, address problems encountered in work, and how to develop resources. The aim was to share insights to ensure that children receive better care.

After the meeting, in summarizing the day, Executive Director Xu expressed that observing the immaculate cleanliness of Anren's extensive campus demonstrated their attention to work details and execution capabilities. Additionally, recognizing individual differences and using appropriate methods to communicate and care for each student's potential are aspects that The Holy Word Foundation Children’s Home could learn from and emulate. Director Xie of Anren also mentioned that The Holy Word Foundation Children’s Home 's commitment to accompanying independent young people after leaving the institution at the age of 18, not giving up during the independent process, and training diverse independent living skills are admirable and worth learning from.

Through the facilitated matching visit and observation model of "Selfless Sharing, Joining Hands for the Greater Good," the foundation allowed the teams from The Holy Word Foundation Children’s Home and Anren to engage in deep exchanges and discussions, sharing accumulated knowledge and experiences. This aids in understanding each other's unique practices and successful experiences, contributing to the improvement of existing service projects or the development of innovative initiatives. The foundation will continue to develop the benefits of mutual learning and collaboration among social welfare units, bringing about a positive and mutually beneficial impact in the field of children's welfare.
