The Chang Yung-Fa Charity Foundation, in partnership with the Enlightenment Welfare and Charity Foundation, launched the "Sharing Love Through Community Fridges" initiative in Yilan, donating eight refrigerators across six locations to support over 1,300 vulnerable families and reduce food waste by 50 tons annually.

Local officials expressed gratitude, emphasizing the fridges' role in reducing food waste and helping disadvantaged families. Businesses and individuals are encouraged to contribute, fostering a stronger, more compassionate community.

Chairman Daniel Wu and Enlightenment Welfare and Charity Foundation CEO Chen Jie-Fu highlighted the impact of this initiative in maximizing food resources and ensuring that donations reach those in need. The effort also strengthens community bonds and promotes sustainability.

Beneficiaries, like a grandmother living alone and a single mother, shared how the fridges have eased their struggles and provided fresh food and comfort.

Aligned with UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), the Foundation remains committed to social welfare, food security, and environmental sustainability, ensuring a better future for all.
