The Chang Yung-Fa Charity Foundation, partnering with the Mandarin Daily News, hosted the "Be Your Wings" public welfare event at Sanhe Elementary School in Taoyuan. Children's literature author Lin Shi-Jen was invited to inspire students to express hope and courage through words and music.

The Foundation supports underprivileged families with financial and material aid, while emphasizing emotional encouragement through this initiative. Lin, an award-winning author, shared three classics: Beethoven's Symphony No. 5 symbolizing resilience against fate, Bridge Over Troubled Water representing friendship in hardship, and Dai Ailing’s Be Your Wings conveying trust and support via a deaf father-daughter story.

Students shared how music empowers growth and helping others. Chairman Daniel Wu hoped the theme would provide strength to those in need, acting as wings to lift them from adversity toward hope and light.
