The 22nd National Spinal Cord Injury Game – Be My Wings, Let Life Shine
The 22nd National Spinal Cord Injury Games, organized by the Yunlin Spinal Cord Injury Association under the guidance of the Yunlin County Government, was held on November 1–2, 2025, at Liren Elementary School. More than 500 participants from 23 counties and cities joined the two-day event, supported by public officials and partner organizations, including the Chang Yung-Fa Charity Foundation. For many athletes, the wheelchair is not a limitation but a vehicle of freedom—sports become a pathway to reclaim confidence, challenge physical limits, and rediscover the brilliance of life.
Aligned with Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (CRPD) Article 30, it offered a journey of self-challenge, confidence-building, and dignity for people with disabilities. Athletes competed in track and field, boccia, table tennis, and fun games, demonstrating perseverance and passion with every push and sprint. The “Athletes’ Night” further highlighted the warmth of friendship and shared life stories, creating a powerful sense of inclusion and unity that transcended the competition itself.
The Chang Yung-Fa Charity Foundation is committed to walking alongside spinal cord injury athletes, using sports as a stage to rebuild confidence and reconnect with society. The Foundation actively calls upon other enterprises and partners to join this movement, fostering a culture of respect and acceptance. By promoting sports equality and implementing the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), we aim to create a truly inclusive and healthy environment where everyone can shine.
