As part of the Taiwan Elite Alliance “Journeys of Love, Stays of Hope” program, the Chang Yung-Fa Charity Foundation partnered with Evergreen Palace Hotel Chiayi to visit the Zhangtan Community Development Association, Dongshi Township, Chiayi County, bringing care and companionship to local seniors.

Zhangtan is a small fishing village facing serious aging challenges, with many elderly residents living alone or needing care. The Foundation has long supported rural seniors by funding vital community programs, including active aging courses, creative arts, health promotion, and intergenerational activities that bridge the gap between generations, creating a warmer and more inclusive community.

Foundation representative Liu Meng-Fen praised the community’s efforts, especially its innovative intergenerational programs. Through sustained support, the Foundation hopes to broaden these services and ensure the spirit of care continue to flourish.

During the visit, hotel staff and seniors enjoyed a plant DIY activity together, filling the space with laughter. Gift boxes were also presented, sharing warmth and blessings with the elderly.

Hotel General Manager Su Hsiao-Fei shared that as a local enterprise, the hotel is honored to participate in this initiative and give back to the community.

The community leader also expressed gratitude, saying the visit brought not only care to the seniors but also encouragement to the team as they strive to build a more caring community.

Through this collaboration, the Foundation and hotel continue spreading love across Taiwan, creating lasting impact and strengthening community connections.
