To raise awareness of autism and support the International Day of Persons with Disabilities, the Chang Yung-Fa Charity Foundation partnered with Evergreen Laurel Hotel (Keelung) to support a Round-Island Cycling event organized by the Autism Society of Taiwan. A celebration was held to honor the young participants (“Star Children”) upon completing their journey.

The cycling trip showed their courage and determination, while also encouraging greater public understanding of autism. The Foundation and hotel provided strong support, ensuring the participants felt cared and valued at the end of their journey.

At the event, a video highlighted their journey, followed by a heartfelt sharing from one participant. Guests emphasized the importance of social inclusion and support. A performance by a youth band added energy to the event, including the song “Be Your Wings” to cheer them on.

Chairman Daniel Wu said the Foundation aims to turn compassion into action, and praised the courage of the participants and their families.

Hotel General Manager Chen Chien-Lang shared that the hotel was honored to provide accommodation and meals, helping participants recover from their journey.

The Autism Society expressed sincere gratitude, noting that the journey was not only a physical challenge, but also a meaningful step toward growth and social connection.

The Foundation will continue promoting inclusion and support for vulnerable groups, spreading love and hope across society.
