Connecting Art and Charity: Supporting Children in Need
The Golden Tulip Jan Da Hotel partnered with the Chang Yung-Fa Charity Foundation to host an art competition and award ceremony themed “Discovering the Beauty of Wuqi Through Children’s Eyes.” Elementary students from Taichung’s coastal area expressed their hometown stories through drawings, demonstrating creativity, confidence, and profound local connection.
A highlight of the event was a charity luncheon, which raised NTD 100,000 in one day. The Foundation contributed another NTD 100,000, bringing the total donation to NTD 200,000, all given to the The Warm Breeze Caring Association to support underprivileged children in Taichung.
Chairman Daniel Wu remarked that meaningful charity lies in collective effort. When children create art, they also inspire hope in others. He emphasized the value of combining art and public welfare.
Hotel CEO Cheng Dong-Bo noted that giving back to the community is a core value. The event not only encouraged children to appreciate their hometown, but also turned public participation into tangible support for those in need.
The Warm Breeze Caring Association expressed its gratitude, stating the donation will fund after-school care and services for disadvantaged children, helping them grow in a more stable environment.
The Foundation will continue working with partners to promote impactful charity projects, using collaboration to foster lasting positive change for children and communities.
