The Chang Yung-Fa Charity Foundation collaborated with the Digital Humanitarian Association WaCare Remote Platform to host a beneficial physical and mental health seminar on August 26, 2023. The theme of the seminar was "Key Prevention of Colorectal Cancer." The event invited vulnerable and middle-aged to elderly individuals under the care of the Huashan Social Welfare Foundation, and it was broadcasted through the WaCare platform to remote and mountainous areas, targeting marginalized communities.
Approximately 350 seniors and citizens participated either online or in person, and the seminar received enthusiastic responses. The rich content of the seminar served to enhance public awareness of colorectal cancer. The event emphasized promoting healthy lifestyles through activities such as physical exercise, proper diet, and preventive measures.

The Chang Yung-Fa Charity Foundation sponsored the art therapy program at the Ruth Society for Disability Service this year, providing financial support. This assistance helps the students at Ruth Education Center to heal both physically and mentally through artistic creation, while also fostering the development of self-confidence and enhancing their sense of self-worth.

The Potential Development Center for Spinal Cord Sufferers, a non-profit organization, is the only professional institution in the country that provides rehabilitation training for individuals with spinal cord injuries. It offers life reconstruction and vocational skill training services for spinal cord injury survivors nationwide, assisting them in overcoming the shadows brought by their injuries and reintegrating into social life.

Today is the second-to-last day of Ren He Junior High School's self-organized cycling trip around the island. After consecutive days of riding for long hours and distances, both the students' bodies and spirits have gradually become fatigued. Therefore, the Chang Yung-Fa Charity Foundation has specially arranged a brief rest stop in Yilan. The students have the opportunity to visit the Lan-chui Social Welfare Foundation's affiliated Lanyang Intelligent Development Academy for community service learning, fostering a spirit of caring for social welfare.

At 3:30 in the early morning, while most people are still in the midst of their dreams, a group of teachers and students from Ren He Junior High School in Taoyuan, who had spent the previous night on campus, were already up and getting ready. They washed their faces, brushed their teeth, changed into cycling clothes and pants, put on safety helmets, and, led by the teachers, completed warm-up exercises. Fully equipped and prepared, they were about to embark on a self-challenge—a 9-day, 8-night cycling trip around the island covering nearly 900 kilometers

We live in a diverse and inclusive society where everyone has the right to equality and respect. However, individuals with disabilities still encounter many difficulties and challenges in society. They are often overlooked or excluded, with limited opportunities to showcase their talents and abilities

During every festive season, homeless individuals who wander the streets often miss out on the warmth of being reunited with their loved ones. Recognizing this, the Chang Yung-Fa Charity Foundation has been participating in the Zenan Homeless Foundation's Dragon Boat Festival celebration event for the sixth consecutive year. Together, on the eve of the Dragon Boat Festival, they express care for the homeless and spread societal warmth.

Ren He Junior High School is located in Daxi District, Taoyuan City. Due to its proximity to several important transportation networks, the community exhibits diverse family backgrounds, and the student body is characterized by great diversity. However, there is a considerable number of students facing relative disadvantages and lacking clear life goals. Therefore, sparking interest in learning and subsequently enhancing the students' self-worth and sense of identity has become the primary task and formidable challenge for the teachers at Ren He.

Taiwan is situated in the seismic zone of the Pacific Ring of Fire and the subtropical monsoon region, experiencing frequent natural disasters such as earthquakes and typhoons. The normalization of significant disasters has become a challenge that must be addressed. To promote disaster awareness among the general public, the Chang Yung-Fa Charity Foundation collaborated with the Taiwan Elite International Rescue Association on June 2nd to host a "Cutest" disaster prevention education event at Jong-Ho Junior High School in Chiayi County.
The event was attended by the foundation's chairman, Wu Jingming, the association's honorary chairman, Zhang Bin, the school principal, Huang Xuehui, and others. The highlight of the event was the three adorable and intelligent search and rescue dogs named Tangtang, Little Bubble Tea (EMMA), and JOY. A series of exciting search exercises amazed nearly a hundred students on site.

Taoyuan City Private Ruth Society for Disability Service primarily provides comprehensive care services for individuals with physical and intellectual disabilities. Currently, it accommodates approximately 76 residents, with a focus on adult students who have moderate to severe, profound, multiple disabilities, and those with autism.

Our organization has maintained a long-term collaboration with Taipei Medical University, sponsoring and promoting various public welfare projects such as the Youth-Silver Shared Meals, Youth-Silver Shared Living, supporting underprivileged students, providing medical services in rural areas, and organizing summer service camps. For the third consecutive year, we have been recognized with the "Silver Quality Award" for outstanding achievements in promoting education through donations, an honor bestowed by the Ministry of Education. Taipei Medical University held the "Gratitude, Always with You" appreciation and award ceremony on May 13. Senior Officer Liu Mengfen represented our organization in attendance to receive the acknowledgment.
