"Key Prevention of Colorectal Cancer" Health Seminar

The Chang Yung-Fa Charity Foundation collaborated with the Digital Humanitarian Association WaCare Remote Platform to host a beneficial physical and mental health seminar on August 26, 2023. The theme of the seminar was "Key Prevention of Colorectal Cancer." The event invited vulnerable and middle-aged to elderly individuals under the care of the Huashan Social Welfare Foundation, and it was broadcasted through the WaCare platform to remote and mountainous areas, targeting marginalized communities.
Approximately 350 seniors and citizens participated either online or in person, and the seminar received enthusiastic responses. The rich content of the seminar served to enhance public awareness of colorectal cancer. The event emphasized promoting healthy lifestyles through activities such as physical exercise, proper diet, and preventive measures.

Taiwan is situated in the seismic zone of the Pacific Ring of Fire and the subtropical monsoon region, experiencing frequent natural disasters such as earthquakes and typhoons. The normalization of significant disasters has become a challenge that must be addressed. To promote disaster awareness among the general public, the Chang Yung-Fa Charity Foundation collaborated with the Taiwan Elite International Rescue Association on June 2nd to host a "Cutest" disaster prevention education event at Jong-Ho Junior High School in Chiayi County.
The event was attended by the foundation's chairman, Wu Jingming, the association's honorary chairman, Zhang Bin, the school principal, Huang Xuehui, and others. The highlight of the event was the three adorable and intelligent search and rescue dogs named Tangtang, Little Bubble Tea (EMMA), and JOY. A series of exciting search exercises amazed nearly a hundred students on site.

Our organization has maintained a long-term collaboration with Taipei Medical University, sponsoring and promoting various public welfare projects such as the Youth-Silver Shared Meals, Youth-Silver Shared Living, supporting underprivileged students, providing medical services in rural areas, and organizing summer service camps. For the third consecutive year, we have been recognized with the "Silver Quality Award" for outstanding achievements in promoting education through donations, an honor bestowed by the Ministry of Education. Taipei Medical University held the "Gratitude, Always with You" appreciation and award ceremony on May 13. Senior Officer Liu Mengfen represented our organization in attendance to receive the acknowledgment.
