Taiwan is situated in the seismic zone of the Pacific Ring of Fire and the subtropical monsoon region, experiencing frequent natural disasters such as earthquakes and typhoons. The normalization of significant disasters has become a challenge that must be addressed. To promote disaster awareness among the general public, the Chang Yung-Fa Charity Foundation collaborated with the Taiwan Elite International Rescue Association on June 2nd to host a "Cutest" disaster prevention education event at Jong-Ho Junior High School in Chiayi County.
The event was attended by the foundation's chairman, Wu Jingming, the association's honorary chairman, Zhang Bin, the school principal, Huang Xuehui, and others. The highlight of the event was the three adorable and intelligent search and rescue dogs named Tangtang, Little Bubble Tea (EMMA), and JOY. A series of exciting search exercises amazed nearly a hundred students on site.

Taoyuan City Private Ruth Society for Disability Service primarily provides comprehensive care services for individuals with physical and intellectual disabilities. Currently, it accommodates approximately 76 residents, with a focus on adult students who have moderate to severe, profound, multiple disabilities, and those with autism.

Our organization has maintained a long-term collaboration with Taipei Medical University, sponsoring and promoting various public welfare projects such as the Youth-Silver Shared Meals, Youth-Silver Shared Living, supporting underprivileged students, providing medical services in rural areas, and organizing summer service camps. For the third consecutive year, we have been recognized with the "Silver Quality Award" for outstanding achievements in promoting education through donations, an honor bestowed by the Ministry of Education. Taipei Medical University held the "Gratitude, Always with You" appreciation and award ceremony on May 13. Senior Officer Liu Mengfen represented our organization in attendance to receive the acknowledgment.

The Chang Yung-Fa Charity Foundation, in collaboration with the Taiwan Institute for Sustainable Energy and the RCSA-Consultant, jointly hosted the "How Social Responsibility Impacts the Sustainable Operation and Development of Small and Medium-sized Enterprises" international forum on April 25, 2023. Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and social welfare organizations were invited to participate, and over 200 enthusiastic attendees joined to collectively address issues related to social responsibility.

In recent years, Taiwan's elderly population has been growing rapidly, and it is estimated that by 2025, the country will enter an ultra-aging society, with the elderly population aged 65 and above reaching 20%.

Ah Jiao and the cleaning apprentices seemed to have no connection, but with the assistance provided by the social worker and clever matchmaking, these apprentices were arranged to help Ah Jiao clean her home, providing her with a conducive environment for recovery. After toiling away in the cleaning work, the apprentices not only received wages but also gained a sense of self-affirmation. This arrangement achieved a win-win situation, promoting both public welfare and double the amount of kindness!

With a small piece of cloth and a big heart, the foundation purchased hundreds of sets of cleaning supplies from Xiao Yu and donated them to the Maria Foundation's "Cleaning Masters Work Team," demonstrating the effectiveness of "one act of charity, double the love!"

Amidst the recent wave of low temperatures and the challenges faced by social welfare organizations due to the ongoing pandemic, Evergreen Laurel Hotel Taichung celebrated its 30th anniversary by joining hands with the Chang Yung-Fa Charity Foundation. Together, they organized the "Evergreen Caring and Warming Up Charity Banquet," inviting around 300 individuals from Centers of Special Needs's St. Coletta Catholic Training Center for Special Need, Changhua County Veterans Service Office
, Taichung Cherish Jia-En Caring Association, Chin-Ai elementary school, and Digital Humanitarian Association. The event took place on the 7th at the hotel, aiming to deliver warmth to the community. Generous contributions were made by the compassionate companies Owen Porcelain, with Master Li Chih-mao, and SummitGo Industry Co., LTD., providing Fumi rice and woolen hats to support the cause.

The assistance has allowed the recipients to live and convalesce in a clean and neat home environment, and also allows the disadvantaged trainees of the work team to increase their income.

One Charitable Act, Double the Love. The Chang-Yung Fa Charity Foundation purchased slow-selling pomelos grown by Ah-Chun, who suffers from burn injuries, and donated them to the Sunshine Social Welfare Foundation Eastern District Service Center and the disadvantaged families served by the Mennonite Social Welfare Foundation for charity.

The severe COVID-19 pandemic has persisted for years and has impacted all sectors of all industries. Many charity organizations have also encountered difficulties in fundraising, making operations extremely challenging.
