On April 2nd, the most severe train accident in 70 years occurred on Taiwan Railways 408 Taroko Express train, resulting in the tragic loss of 50 lives and over 200 people sustaining various injuries. Chairman Wu Ching-Ming of the Chang Yung-Fa Charity Foundation was deeply affected by the grief and sorrow caused by this incident. In response to the call from the Ministry of Health and Welfare, the Foundation donated NT$5 million to the designated account of the Ministry of Health and Welfare's special donation campaign. This donation aims to assist the families of the deceased and support the ongoing needs of the injured individuals, with the hope that they can overcome their pain and restore their lives as soon as possible.
